My Aging Parents Checklist is designed as a convenient tool to help ensure that there are no surprises and that you don’t miss a thing about caring for aging parents. As adult children of aging parents you are walking into a new role, and as an expert in the field, I’d like to prepare you for this challenge by providing you with the best information available. My mission is to offer support to those caring for an aging parent so that the whole family can better enjoy and appreciate this new phase of life while maintaining the treasured relationships with those we love and care for.
I’m happy to talk with you.
It’s important to get as much information as possible directly from your aging parent. You’ll find a list of important questions to ask aging parents so that when it’s time to gradually introduce necessary changes you can begin with their preferences.

And, of course, they may not know any more than you do about what they are going to need nor how to prepare to meet those needs. So, here’s the complete checklist for aging parents. When you want in-depth information about any of these items, please contact me. I specialize in keeping up-to-date with the most current help for elderly parents. I can also work directly with nursing home staff and medical professionals.
Services I Offer
Coping with aging parents can sometimes seem unmanageable when you consider how the aging process can necessitate added responsibilities to your daily life. I am happy to help you in any way that I can, from a single consultation to ongoing meetings with you, your aging parent or nursing home staff. I’ll make sure that you have all the tools and information you’ll need to care for your parents confidently, through my counseling and coaching services.
I provide a broad range of services which can enrich the lives of both you and your aging parents, including evaluations and treatment for depression, behavioral problems, cognitive impairment, and dealing with caregiver stress. When you make me a part of the team for help with aging parents, I can advise you on their physical and mental health options, on aging parents finances, on home safety and driving concerns, as well as assistance in completing my checklist for aging parents.

And what about you, the caregiver?
Helping aging parents can be extraordinarily stressful for you. Any elderly parent is going to require some degree of increased support for elderly living. I can offer assistance in cases where the patient/caregiver experience isn’t running smoothly. I can coach you on how to handle the loss of driving privileges or moving to a long-term care facility. Geriatric specialized counseling can help you deal with depression, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, all part of my checklist for elderly parents.
Caring for elderly parents can be a joy when you are confident in your options and how to make the decisions that have become your responsibility through the final years of providing loving help for aging parents.
